Secrets Of The Sun
Let's hope "History" and "H-2" keeps making these available to Amazon...!
Season 1 is only (ironically) the first in what is a long, diverse and wonderfully put together series on our physical planet and it's place in the grand scheme of things, and it's only "short-coming" is that they leave you wanting more and more...thankfully, each successive season tries to do just that! Can't get enough!
Interesting yet DRAMATIZED
I found much of the content to be interesting and seemed correct. My main complaint was that the voice, tone, and music made it seem like a weird action flick...I'd rather it be more serious.
Very good science documentary type series for those that like to look at the stars and heavens!
Very good science documentary type series for those that like to look at the stars and heavens! The only shortcomings I would list would be that some of the episodes seem to be a bit long, and some of the information and video is repeated throughout the series. I could have enjoyed it a bit more if it was briefer in that regard. But having learned most of my astronomy many years ago I found this a very interesting refresher that actually brought me up to speed on the latest theories, research, etc. while also putting the history of past progress in perspective. If you liked reading Bill Bryson's "A Short History of Nearly Everything", you'll probably like this, especially since it actually will give you a more current picture of what has changed in our views of the Universe. I am watching this video series while reading his book and finding the whole thing very enjoyable.
