Realistic look at being a survivor
Very interesting scenario of what it would be like to live life after a terrible disaster. I like shows or movies of this nature and to see what people would actually do and think up in these conditions! Found this to be very real and watched 1st episode. I found myself wanting to watch more. Makes one think-could I/would I, be a survivor?
Well done, but I just can't get into it.
It's well done and entertaining, but no matter what, I can't shake the meta-knowledge that it's fake. And, in my opinion, neither can the players. They KNOW it will be over in 10 weeks. They KNOW the "marauders" won't kill them. There's a light at the end of the tunnel, no matter what..and there are cameras filming it all, so there's never any real feeling of urgency. I'd rather watch good post-apocalyptic fiction.
A different kind of reality
Not a competition based reality show, instead focusing on the cooperation and group dynamics needed to function under stressful situations. A really fascinating show, well worth your time. Too bad they won't make anymore cause the networks make more money aiming cameras at brain dead hicks that raise ducks or pageant babies or pageant baby ducks...
